Rape - Origin

Prologue

So where does this all start? People who want to think can come with me to the very start. To that spark which ultimately turns into a fire and results into a big havoc. Is it the education? No, a lot of educated men eve tease, many literate men have raped. The upbringing? Come on, I mean, if your dad was a drunkard you would eventually end up being drunkard? You can choose not to be. Or even if your parents didn't teach you anything or if you were an orphan doesn't mean you would turn out to be bad person some day. Think about it from other perspectives. The surroundings? Friends? Nowhere the answer can be found. Perhaps we didn't rewind the whole thing here. Lets go before the time "the rapist" was born.

Obviously it has to do something with the "women are physically weaker than men" phrase, which is ongoing since the birth of since. So why are females considered to be weaker than males? and why aren't men getting raped as much as females are?

Someone told me once that women are treasure and thus, we should protect them like we protect diamonds and jewels in our safe. Our daughters, sisters, wives are to be locked inside the house like we lock our money and other valuables. What the fuck? - was the shortest expression I got when I heard that statement. From the beginning we all know, that females are thought to be like baby producing machine or, if microwave ovens were invented in stone age they would have been synonyms with women. Hey! cook me "this". You got 30 minutes and 'beep' your meal is ready.

Oh, that reminds me about a famous 'practice' which was like - if your husband is dead, then you're good for nothing, woman. So jump into the fire girl. No, I don't care if you are 16 year old and mother of 2 cute little babies. You gotta melt right now. And then we will worship you and you will be called...

Sati.

The term is derived from the original name of the goddess Sati, also known as Dakshayani, who self-immolated because she was unable to bear her father Daksha's humiliation of her (living) husband Shiva. The term may also be used to refer to the widow. The term sati is now sometimes interpreted as "chaste woman". Sati appears in both Hindi and Sanskrit texts, where it is synonymous with "good wife"; the term suttee was commonly used by Anglo-Indian English writers.

The above definition is courtesy of Wikipedia.

Remember, we are still talking about the idea (the spark). Okay so we are living in modern times. Sati was in like dark ages, we are good human beings now. Its banned and all that bullshit??! The idea back then was the same which is now, human beings with breasts and vagina are men's property and should be treated like 'property'. *pukes*

Now that we have gone that far lets go to the great Roman empire. Where rape (or raptus) was defined as abduction of a female which was to be treated as theft. Like some robber breaks into your house and steals your plasma TV and shit. Although the punishments of such crimes were harsh (like mutilation) back then but hey the idea remains the same. Your woman is your property. It was not until 15th century that rape was distinguished from abduction and sexual assault.

Okay now, lets come back to India since we live here. According the Thomas Reuters foundation survey - India is the fourth most dangerous place for a women to live. Reasons?

1. Honor killing: Practiced mostly in northern parts of India. Where if you are bold enough to elope with our lover, regardless of your gender. You get killed. Murdered? By your own father.
Well, I don't know girl if that is better or is it better that you were victim of ...

2. Abortion: No you weren't born and your family members thought it was good idea to get you out of the safest place in the world, by burning you with acid or surgically remove you and throw you in garbage bin or isolated pond.

3. Acid throwing: Remember the Sonali Mukherjee case. Hell yes, she got to meet Amitabh Bachchan and Lara Dutta, but the offenders got bail. What did they got bail from? A clumsy sentence of 9 years. Well her face is still disfigured and her family is practically living in poverty because they spent all their savings on her treatment. Figures of "reported" acid throwing cases? I don't even wanna tell you, Google it and be shocked.

4. Eve teasing: Now, like most of you, I thought this term was short form of Evening teasing or something like that. But 'Eve teasing' the term, originated in India. Eve is in reference to Bible's Eve. Like Adam & Eve. According to the definition. Eve is the temptress and is responsible for this teasing, Like by wearing jeans n skirts, going to discos. And some wise man said if Eve is eating chowmein it would most likely result into teasing. Well, a lot of reforms are taken for stopping it but the punishment is for now just public humiliation. Like the offenders are made 'murga' in public. But how many Eve teasers are caught actually?

5. Domestic Violence: I am not going to explain this to you, its just same ol women are property - mindset people. This kind of assault are most likely to go unreported and solved within family (I don't know why I used the term 'solved' here).

6. Rape: We will talk about this later ... oh you wanna talk now? "Theek hai"

So let us all bring up all the cases. Damini's case. The Park street, Kolkata case of 2009, Rape of Imrana in 2005 mother of 5 who was told by her village panchayat that according to Quran since her father in law has had sexual intercourse with her, she is to be considered as her father in law's wife and her husband will be treated as her son from now on. How about Thangjam Manorama case of 2004, where she was raped and shot in her back, buttocks, stabbed in her genitals and thrown dead naked on a road outside village by Army personnel of Assam. How many of you know about the Sari Nair's scandal. Its called scandal because it involved about 5 or 6 'influential' monsters. Tulsa Thapa case of 1982? She was 12 when she was trafficked from Kathmandu and until she was rescued she had STDs and tuberculosis which led to her death. Suryanelli case of 1994 when she was raped by 42 men in 40 days. 2009 Shopian Rape and Murder case where two girls aged 24 (two months pregnant) and 17 year old were raped and murdered brutally. And all those other cases in which the offenders either got away or the case is still hanging midst of the law's weighing scale or they got a sentence of 4 - 10 years in prison and fine of 50,000 Rs.?

Conclusion
This frikkin "IDEA" which interprets as- do whatsoever to a girl and we will go unpunished or treat them as you wish, is the real culprit here. NOTE that here not just men but also many women are involved during the happening of rape. Also note that its the mothers teaching their daughters "Beta, don't stay out after dark."

Men raping or assaulting women are not men agreed. But where do all so called "Mard" go when such incidents are about to happen? Or when they witness such happenings? India is my country, All Indians are my Brothers and 'Sisters'. Wait, if you're waiting for the government, its not going to happen. Yes you can raise your voice and protest while the politicians make remark as "Painted and Dented" "Skirt aur Disco jane wali ladkiyan" "Girls freely interacting with boys" and then say "Oh! sorry I didn't want to hurt your sentiments" and get away with it.

And girls of Bharat. You are 'Sati Savitri' who was avatar of Durga. Remember Durga? Even Lord Shiva couldn't get away with her fire power and was forced to bent. Because she knew how to fight against evil. Damini is a martyr because she fought, she kept fighting. She fought with those monsters. But they took over. She fought with Death but he took over too. Teach your son not to Rape? HELL YEA!! But teach your daughter how to self defend themselves.

You think if the punishment is severe Rapes would stop or reduce? We will see. What I think is the rapist doesn't think "If i rape I will get jailed for 10 years, right that's passable" NO! They fucking think they will get away with it unscratched!! That's what a murderer thinks. Hell that's what even a suicide bomber thinks, that he will murder bunch of innocents and he will get away with it and earn the pleasure of heaven.

I don't even wanna measure the stupidity of people who have commented about a girl being modern, wearing skirt, eating chowmein or being friendly with men. Tell them to fucking answer about 2 year old getting raped by their uncles and fathers because they had seen her changing diapers or how does a 60 year old woman gets raped? To all such people who made this comment or have such mindset: Chill bro! Its not your fault. Its factory manufacturing defect.

Kill this Idea! Teach your elders... no SHOW the elders and the orthodox that you can return at 3 o clock at night Unharmed. Oh did you know? Women in Indian Military are not allowed to go into combats? No I am not telling you to join the armed forces and prove them you're strong. But make sure you go ga ga over all the nail polish and Justin Bieber and Twilight but also learn how to defend yourself.  Make sure when you tie a rakhi on your brother's wrist, he promises to protect you. This is the time you gear up and castrate the eve "teasers" yourselves so that they write a book on "101 ways on how not to fuck with a woman." Teach your daughters to wear what they like and handle themselves on certain situations. Demand physical defense training in the schools where your daughter/sister goes.

There are other ways to tell the world you're not a property. Be creative and find ways to do that.

And men? You are supposed to be neutered if you see a crime happening and not do something to stop it right there. You should think yourselves permanently exiled from the category of "man" if you are one or combination of Gandhiji's 3 monkeys. You are a nobody if you never missed going to college on Valentines day or Friendships day but never stepped foot on school or college in Rakshabandhan.

Remember. Kill the Idea...

Breaking conventional resume methods

It's so amazing what you can do with conventional things. Breaking rules is something what everyone likes. Its sad that you have to upload your resumes and bio-data in plain word documents, where you try so hard to make it attractive, in vain. Well if you are a graphic or web designer your world doesn't have any boundaries, specially when it comes to anything which is to be presented via computer. Here is an example of what I did to my resume.
Sadly, till now most of the job sites don't approve resume uploads on any other format except .doc, .pdf, or other conventional methods. Anyways, no harm in sending a personal mail to amaze your future employer right?
